The Cincinnati Bailliage met at Embers restaurant in Montgomery, Ohio to celebrate the holidays and pay tribute to one of their truly legendary members. The Embers is a contemporary American steakhouse with outstanding seafood and sushi which is meticulously run by owner Jon Zipperstein.
Vice Consellier Chuck Hong and Bailli George Elliott worked with Mr. Zipperstein and his expert staff to devise a phenomenal multi-course dinner. Each course was perfectly paired with wine chosen by Vice Echanson Mike Monnin, Professionel du Vin Mary Horn, and their talented wine committee.
Following dinner, the Bronze Star of Excellence was awarded to Chevalier Pat Gaito. Mr. Gaito was one of the original members of the Cincinnati Bailliage which began in 1981. He is well known for his tireless donations of his time and talents to numerous charitable causes including Cancer Family Care, the Cincinnati Wine Festival, and Springer School.
Pat was the original owner of the popular Prima Vista restaurant which he successfully ran for many years. After selling the restaurant, Mr. Gaito began devoting much of his time as a personal trainer to many lucky individuals throughout the greater Cincinnati area. Whether it is helping people physically through his work or donating superbly prepared meals for charity events, Pat is always sharing his resources and skills to many lucky individuals in our community.
Upon accepting this coveted award, we all gave Chevalier Gaito a standing ovation in expression of our overwhelming approval – a perfect ending to one of our holiday traditions!
