I would like to share with you some national recognition that two of our members have just received: Kathy Merchant, Chargée de Presse Provincial Midwest and Graig Smith, Chargé de Presse Cincinnati.

Betty Sasenick, Chargée de Presse des Etats-Unis and Editor-in-Chief of Cuvée, has received approval from the national board for three new awards recognizing the Chargé(e)s de Presse around the country for their contributions to Cuvée along with their regional supervisors, the Chargé(e)s de Presse Provincial. The award pins are Bronze, Silver and Gold Quills with the Chaine logo.

Today I’m very proud to announce that Graig Smith is the recipient of one of three Silver pins awarded in the US and Caribbean and Kathy Merchant is the recipient of the only Gold pin awarded. 

You’ve seen their excellent articles frequently in the Cuvée and occasionally in the international edition.  Kathy was particularly recognized for her articles on the Midwest Regional Mondiale event in Toledo and the National Young Chef Competition recently in Atlanta.

We thank both of them for their hard work and congratulate them on this very special recognition!
